Arizona Youth Leadership Forum (AZYLF) 2022 Application Period Now Open

Arizona Youth Leadership Forum (AZYLF) 2022 begins in June – just a few short months away! As always, we are eager to open the application period and invite all eligible individuals to apply for consideration. Applications will be accepted from now until May 6, 2022. There is absolutely no cost for individuals to attend AZYLF.

Arizona Youth Leadership Forum for Teens and Young Adults Who Have Disabilities (AZYLF) is an annual innovative multi-day conference held in different regions of Arizona. It is facilitated by Diverse Ability Incorporated, in partnership with the AZYLI Alumni Association, and is funded in part by Arizona Rehabilitation Services Administration, and Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council. AZYLF serves youth who have a variety of disabilities and diversities as they prepare for and navigate young adulthood.

If you, a loved one or friend are an Arizona youth in high school, a recent graduate, or a young adult – please get your applications in today! Completed applications must be received via mail, fax, scan and email or online form. Applicants who do not have internet access may call: 602-425-5135, for assistance with completing the online application.

For 2022, AZYLF Regional Conferences will be held in person AND online via Zoom. Applicants must select one option. Individualized accommodations will be celebrated and honored, and a variety of avenues for self-expression and interaction will be embedded throughout AZYLF. 

To be eligible, youth must meet the following requirements:  
  • Identify as having a disability
  • Have completed at least one year of high school, and be  under the age of 30
  • Wish to increase personal leadership, self-reliance, and self-advocacy skills
  • Aim to interact respectfully with peers and elders
  • Live in Arizona
