Barb Picone is the Community Outreach and Program Support Administrator with the Department of Economic Security/Division of Developmental Disabilities (DES/DDD). She earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Special Education and Rehabilitation from the University of Arizona.   Barb has been with DES for 27 years, working in Vocational Rehabilitation, DDD Support Coordination, and DDD Quality Improvement.  She is now working in the DDD CARES Administration overseeing Community Outreach, DDD Affordable Housing, Justice Reach-in Care Coordination, DDD Social Work Internship Program, and the DDD Tribal Liaison. Barb has a passion for working with people with disabilities and has been in the field for more than 30 years.
