Reggie Mitzel

Reggie Mitzel grew up on a farm in South Dakota, the eighth of nine children and one of five girls. She attributes her strong work ethic to her upbringing. Reggie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, with a Major in English and Minor in Speech & Drama. She moved to Arizona in 2004 after spending ten years with Boys & Girls Clubs, overseeing education and enrichment programs for inner-city youth in St. Paul, MN, and serving as a National Training Associate for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. At Goodwill of Central Arizona, Reggie managed four Workforce Investment Act contracts with the City of Phoenix, serving hundreds of at-risk and vulnerable youth ages 14-22. Mitzel spent seven years as an executive at Ability360 and was instrumental in creating a sports and fitness center for people who have disabilities and rebranding the organization, including its new name and logo. She began her own consulting business in 2016 and continued her involvement with Diverse Ability Incorporated as a founding Board Member, and later, as its Learning Designer. She strives to ensure that all learning material is accessible and relevant to a younger audience and enjoys working with young adults to collaboratively research and create a variety of learning engagement materials. Outside of work, Reggie enjoys socializing with friends and staying connected to her large family.
