YOUTH LEADERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT SERVICES
Diverse Ability Incorporated proudly facilitates the Arizona Youth Leadership and Engagement Initiatives
which include the following youth leadership and engagement services.
Arizona Youth Leadership Forum (AZYLF)
An innovative, multi-day, regional summer conference designed
to foster personal growth for students and young adults who
have disabilities as they prepare for and progress through
transition to adulthood.
Arizona Youth Engagement Academy (AZYEA)
An intensive training experience designed to build capacity
in youth and young adults who have a variety of disabilities
and diversities to prepare them to assume leadership roles,
and provide peer-based training, navigation, and support to others.
Peer-Based, Person-Centered Planning Services
A Person-Centered Plan is an evolving document created
by you and your chosen supporters. Its purpose is to empower
you to express your self-determination, practice self-advocacy,
and communicate your preferences and goals to your supporters
and the systems involved in your life.
Peer Navigation Services
Our trained Arizona Youth Leaders, known as Peer Navigators,
assist teens and young adults as they navigate their unique journeys.
Each request is carefully reviewed to ensure that every participant is
matched with a Peer Navigator who has the necessary skills and life
experiences to provide personalized support.
